Growing up with an eccentric Jewish mother in Queens, NYC, Nikki heard there was an amazing place where people didn’t have to tell their mothers everything and you could keep…secrets! Shocked, she wondered, “where is this faraway land?” and “are they accepting new members?” But her mother insisted it was bullshit, and fed her some brisket.
A development executive in Hollywood for over 10 years, Nikki has overseen numerous films including Academy Award-nominated FROST/NIXON, Fox Animation’s EPIC and Paramount’s upcoming release MONSTER TRUCKS. She loves all things comedy, and teaches storytelling, creative writing and various courses on “the business.” She is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Radio/Television/Film program, and lives in Los Angeles with her pit bull, Leib.
Lizzie studied theatre at Sarah Lawrence College and received an M.A. in Performance Studies from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. She works as an actress, voice over artist, writer and solo performance coach. Her award-winning solo show “The Booby Prize” has been performed in festivals across the country. Lizzie is proud to have produced Don't Tell My Mother! for three years and continues to act as consultant and contributing writer. She is a huge fan of the entire DTMM! team.
Jake of all Trades grew up as not only a brat, but a military brat, following his parents as they trotted the globe. The foreign cultures and world of constant change in which he grew up engendered a deep passion for learning and stories in Jake. His passion has only swelled during his tenure in Los Angeles, where Jake actively produces TV, literature, film projects and manages YouTuber & digital talent. He serves as Don't Tell My Mother's! Head of Talent and works alongside Nikki to produce the show and build the Don't Tell My Mother brand into the massive property we know it will be.
Bart is a screenwriter and all-around maker. He has written for Universal Pictures, Lawrence Gordon, ABC Rock Radio, and has done reality TV story work for NatGeo, WE TV, Lifetime, OWN and BET. He has worked on props for projects including Star Trek, Babylon 5, Numbers and Starship Troopers. He is frequently given erroneous credit for the saying "Life Is Too Short," and can be seen in Brent Spiner's web series "Fresh Hell. www.bartgold.com
Kitty has been known to eat chocolate for breakfast, read “Pride & Prejudice” every morning, and fly off on a giant frying pan to The Land Where Good Women Go. The other 99% of her life is spent talking to strangers’ dogs and producing Don’t Tell My Mother! She tries to live a Porpoise-Driven Life, but the porpoises don’t want her. Lauren hails from a small town in South Jersey, by way of Philly (Go Hoagies!). She graduated from Temple University with a degree in Film & Media Arts. Valarie moved to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Arizona. She has been with DTMM since 2013. She loves story-telling and creative writing, whether it be for blogs, novels, scripts or short stories. She also loves television, with some of her current favorite shows being Hannibal, Orange is the New Black, and Game of Thrones. She currently works at Universal Studios Hollywood, and is an aspiring writer and aspiring Queen of Westeros.
Abby studied multi-instrumentation at CalArts and has been performing live in the Los Angeles area for over 10 years with various bands such as Fiddle and Pine and Abby and The Myth. Bluegrass and folk are her main genres, but Abby gets hired to play with various artists on tours and recording sessions, and has scored two documentaries - Across Land Across Sea and Through Their Eyes. She has also performed in the band on Fox's GLEE playing banjo and guitar, and has original compositions in rotation on This American Life Radio. Her band, Abby and The Myth, just released their EP "Ghosts and Frames" at Hotel Cafe to a sold-out crowd. Abby has been the house musician for the show Don't Tell My Mother! for the past two years.
GABI VARLEY (Video Vixen, Graphics) - Gabi grew up amongst the palm trees and Florida sunshine. After graduating from film school in Miami she needed a change and moved to a place with palm trees and California sunshine. This has made all the difference and cemented the fact that she will never own a coat.
Rebecca is a writer living in Los Angeles, CA. She attended Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies. She is a content writer for an online media company and a published author. In her spare time she loves to cook and obsessively follows the Connecticut Huskies women's basketball team.
